PWR Physical Therapy is becoming Wildlands Physical Therapy

Hello patients, friends and neighbors,

I’m writing with an important—and ultimately exciting—update about my clinic. Beginning later this spring, PWR Physical Therapy will become Wildlands Physical Therapy.

Why the change?

Late last year, I received a formal notice from a large national healthcare corporation stating that my clinic name, PWR Physical Therapy, was too similar to one of their protected trademarks. Their letter explained that my use of “PWR” could “cause confusion among consumers who are familiar with [their] marks.”

While I disagreed with the idea that a small, locally owned clinic in Ashland could be mistaken for a national chain, I also knew that engaging in a legal battle with corporate medicine wasn’t the best use of my time, energy, or resources. My work—and my heart—are here with you.

So I chose a different path: turning this challenge into an opportunity.

Why Wildlands?

Wildlands Physical Therapy reflects what truly matters to me and to the people I serve:

  • Care without boundaries, rooted in the wildlands.

  • Strong bodies for wild places.

  • Recover strong, reclaim your wild.

  • Wellness that thrives where you do.

This name honors the Northwoods, the lake, the trails, the seasons, and the way movement connects us to the places we love. It also reflects the kind of care I believe in—personal, grounded, evidence‑based, and deeply local.

What’s staying the same?

Everything that actually matters.

  • Same owner (me!).

  • Same location.

  • Same one‑on‑one, patient‑centered care.

  • Same direct‑pay model with transparent pricing and no insurance restrictions

  • Same commitment to helping you move confidently in the world you love.

The only things changing are the name, website, and signage.

What’s next?

Over the next few months, you’ll see the new Wildlands branding roll out across the clinic, website, and social media. I’ll make the transition as smooth as possible so you always know where to find me.

How You Can Help the Transition Thrive

Wildlands Physical Therapy will grow strongest through the people who already know and trust this work. If you’d like to support the transition, a few small actions make a big difference:

  • Share the announcement on Facebook or Instagram so more people know the new name.

  • Tell a friend, coworker, or family member who might look for me under the old name.

  • Update my name in your phone or contacts so it’s easy to find when you need me.

  • Mention the change to your healthcare providers if you’ve referred people in the past—they often keep lists.

  • Keep engaging with posts over the next few weeks; every like, comment, and share helps the new name take root.

This community has always been the heart of my practice. Your support—whether it’s a quick share or a simple conversation—helps ensure people can still find the care they trust, just under a name that finally fits.

Thank you for supporting a small, independent clinic in a world where healthcare is increasingly shaped by large corporations. Your trust allows me to keep offering care that’s rooted right here—where we live, work, and explore.

Here’s to strong bodies, wild places, and a new chapter.

Jill
